Alignment of stars Sept 23, 2017 (Gospel in the Stars)
On Augst 21st of 2017 we witnessed the occurrence of an eclipse that was labeled as a ‘Great American Eclipse’. And then to the amazement of many, thirty-three days later a significant astronomical alignment occurred—which appeared to point directly to the book of Revelation.
On September 23, 2017 a sign appeared in the stars that appeared to fulfill this description in Revelation 12:
Revelation 12:1-2: “Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars. Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth.”
As news of this sign spread in 2017, and we grew closer to the date of its occurrence, the belief that the rapture and Second Coming would occur at the time began to spread—and obviously this did not happen. Like the end of the Mayan Calendar in 2012 or the Y2K ‘Millenium Bug’ we have recently passed milestones that many saw as apocalyptic. If we go all the way back to 1988 there was also a book predicting the rapture in that year (“88 Reason Why the Rapture Will Be in 1988”); which was another failure in Biblical interpretation.
But we are still left with this astronomical alignment in 2017—so let’s take a look at the night sky on September 23rd of that year. The chart shown above depicts the alignment and shows the following:
The sun is in the constellation Virgo — “a woman clothed with the sun”.
The moon is at the feet of Virgo — “with the moon under her feet”.
The nine stars of Leo, plus three planets (Mercury, Venus, and Mars), are at the head of Virgo — “on her head a garland of twelve stars”.
Jupiter is known as the king planet and appears with Virgo — “She gave birth to a son, a male child, destined to rule all the nations with an iron rod”.
Jupiter is in the center of Virgo, and, in the weeks after September 23, Jupiter exits Virgo, traveling east past her feet — “Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth”.
So, in the above there are elements that align with the description in Revelation 12. However, it is important to note that others using astronomy software demonstrate that this sign has occurred four times in just the previous thousand years: 1827, 1483, 1293, and 1056. This leads to a conclusion that there was nothing unusual about the sign in 2017.
Still, the year 2017 stands apart, and leads to questions about the appearance of this alignment.
Following the astonishing election of Donald Trump in the fall of 2016, he would take office in January of 2017. This would mark the beginning of a remarkable seven-year period, marked by two eclipses that were known as ‘Great American Eclipses’ –the first of which would occur on August 21, 2017 and the second on April 8, 2024. The events of those years were overwhelming, with everything from drought, locusts, and pandemic occurring, to the acknowledgment that UFOs are real, a Great Reset was announced, and then America witnessed what many believe was a fraudulent Presidential election. Then in 2024 we see the most incredible political comeback in U.S. history with the re-election of President Trump; following the second of the two eclipses.
Given everything that would transpire following 2017, it leads to greater scrutiny of that specific year, since it marked the beginning of this period of time.
After President Trump took office and the first of the Great American eclipses occurred, the night sky would then reveal the ‘woman clothed with the sun’ star sign described in Revelation 12. This appeared 33 days after the eclipse. This is a Biblical number that draws our attention, given this was the age of Jesus at the time of his crucifixion.
Two other milestones of note would also occur in 2017. The first is that President Trump recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel on Dec 6, 2017—which made the U.S. the first country to do this since Israel ceased to exist in 70 A.D. And then on Dec 16, 2017 the New York Times reported on U.S. Navy UFO videos and took what many believe was the first step regarding full UFO disclosure.
As we look back, we are faced with an extraordinary seven-year period, with the events of 2017 representing the start. As such, it remains a fact that an alignment of stars that appears to meet the Revelation 12 description did occur in that year and leaves us wondering if this fulfills the appearance of that sign in the last days.
But…if we look even further back in time to 3 B.C., this alignment does appear to have occurred in association with another sign, when the stars announced that a new king had been crowned.
